Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease: GERD is a chronic illness in which acid or bile from the stomach flows into the food pipe, irritating the lining.

Gastric and Duodenal Ulcers: Ulcers that form in the stomach are called Gastric Ulcers. Duodenal Ulcers are found in the small intestine.

How does the Aciloc 300 mg tablet work?

300 mg variation of Aciloc belongs to a group of drugs known as H2 blockers.

The main ingredient of Aciloc, Ranitidine, blocks the effects of Histamine on the Histamine H2 receptors present in the parietal cells, which line the stomach wall.

Histamine is the chemical that stimulates the parietal cells to release gastric acid.

As a result, this medicine stops Histamine from having this effect, thereby decreasing gastric acid secretion.
