Eliquis 2.5 mg is an anticoagulant or a blood thinner. It is used to treat blood clots in the veins of the lungs, legs, brain and heart. 

The main component in Eliquis 2.5mg is Apixaban.

2.5 mg tablets are also used in people with irregular heartbeats or Atrial Fibrillation to prevent blood clots. 

It is also recommended for people who have undergone knee or hip replacement surgeries.

These blood clots may rupture and move to the brain, causing a stroke or impairing the regular flow of blood to other organs.

Eliquis 2.5 mg is available in another strength of 5 mg.

It acts by inhibiting an enzyme complex called factor Xa. 

Blood clots are less likely to form in your body as a result of stopping this enzyme complex from functioning, which lowers the risk of a heart attack or stroke.

How to take Eliquis pills?

Eliquis 2.5mg is a prescription-based medicine. It should be taken only when the healthcare expert recommends it.
